Rewind, Recover, Repeat

For those of you who weren't able to join us [and thousand of other EDM heads] at this year's Freaky Deaky, below are some photos to give you a taste of what to expect at this year's Reaction NYE, the next unreal, lifetime experience set to take place in Chicago December 30t & 31st. While some of you may still be recovering from what was one of the best festivals we've attended to date, rest up because this year's NYE fest won't disappoint, and you certainly won't want to miss out on it.

This year Reaction NYE will include performances by: Dillon Francis, Gucci Mane, Flume, and Zeds Dead. There will also be a silent disco stage area with its own coveted line up of regional favorites, plus a chance to preview all of the fest artists here!

Spotify preview playlist not enough for you? Don't worry, because you have a chance to win a pair of 2-day General Admission tickets by emailing us at and sharing your 2017 New Year resolution with us [must be 17+ to attend the festival and entries must be submitted by 11:59pm on 12/2].

Freaky Deaky 2016

We're not sure how it is already October (where did the time go?!) but hip hip hooray because the largest Halloween event in the Midwest, Freaky Deaky, is returning to Chicago for it's 8th year in a row! This multi-day, multi-stage "spooktacular" event offering concert goers a diverse range of performances by top-tier artists from around the world will kick off on October 28th.
Ever since this dark and twisted adventure was founded back in 2008, the event continues to grow bigger, better, and a little spookier every year, transforming into the freakiest costume party in the Chicagoland area.
Complete with top notch decor, carnival rides, games, and terrifyingly fun haunted houses — have no fear of missing out and come join us by emailing - be sure to share the top reason why we should pick YOU and a guest to come party with the ghastly ghouls and wicked witches of Freaky Deaky 2016!

Must be 17+ older to attend festival and enter giveaway.
Giveaway submissions close on Thursday, October 6th at 12pm CST.

Only 17 More Days...

The time has come...for this year's North Coast Music Festival! With this year's lineup being one of the best yet, including my personal favorite, ZEDD ("Follow You Down," anybody?), headlining on Sunday night, this is set to be one of the best weekends of the entire Summer.

Here's a few "Pro" tips from the adoptedSTYLE team who has attended NCMF for the past 5 Summers:

1. Make sure to bring a light weight cross body bag. Anything larger isn't allowed into the festival and the cross body purse is best since almost all of them zip fully.

2. Pack Sunscreen. There is hardly any shade at this park, especially in the areas you'll want to be in to catch the best performances!

3. Wear close toed shoes. Our stylist pick is converse or ankle booties. Sometimes it gets really muddy and there's nothing worse than having dirty, sticky feet if you wear flip flops. #HardPass

4. Buy a portable phone charger. Trust me, when you're trying to LYFT at the end of the night, you'll be glad you invested in this $9.99 life saver.

5. Hydrate! It's going to be a l-o-n-g weekend, so make sure to stay hydrated and safe.

Have any other thoughts, ideas, or suggestions on what to expect at this year's fest? Write us at to share your thoughts and be entered for a chance to win TWO 3-DAY GENERAL ADMISSION WRISTBANDS!
*Must email by Thursday, August 17th at 12pm CST.

If there's one thing I wish I could ask for on this grey, gross, and mind numbing Tuesday morning - which unfortunately feels like a Monday - it would be to rewind back to Mamby. For those of who you weren't able to make it, I hope you won't make the same mistake next year. With surprise appearances by Chicago's very own, Chance the Rapper, and hit tuns from Australian beauty, Betty Who, this was hands down one of the best music weekends of the entire Summer (sigh)...

No, really...DATE ME. For those of you who haven't heard - that I'm single AF (just kidding) - the most hysterical stand up comedy show, #DATEME: An OKcupid Experiment, just extended it's performance schedule here in Chicago and performances will continue at Second City until the end of July. If that isn't enough, the creator of of the show, Robyn Lynne Norris, has also continued the journey with Date Me Diaries where she shares her dating stories...or nightmares. With the revolutionary online dating apps that have found some people true love, and others of us just horror, this is relatable to everyone in one way or another and will have you belly laughing until the very end.

I have no doubt in my mind that Robyn has created something genius and I hope to see her again, on stage performing, right here in Chicago, soon.
